Adult Nurture
Adult Sunday Discussion
Adults are provided opportunities to explore their faith from differing perspectives, and to talk about ways in which we live out our faith. There is no agenda in which a particular perspective dominates. Rather, the group’s thinking is stimulated by diverse readings and, very importantly, by listening to each other. Prior reading NOT REQUIRED. We meet in the Fireside Room on Sundays at 9:30 – 10:15 a.m. We welcome visitors.
Tuesday Nights at Immanuel
Tuesday evenings are an opportunity for exploring one’s faith and what it means to live a faith-filled life. A range of thoughtful and provocative videos, “in house” discussion leaders, presentations by people from the greater Tacoma community, and even occasionally from the national religious scene, make Tuesday discussions lively and well-attended sessions. No preparation is required; visitors are free to drop in as their schedules permit. Fireside Room, 7- 8 p.m. Concludes with a few minutes quiet time, followed by fellowship for those whose schedules permit down at the Park Way Tavern. Check the calendar for the topic of the evening.
Lenten Soup Suppers
Wednesdays at 6 p.m. during Lent, folks from the congregation and community share a simple meal and conversation on topics pertaining to themes especially relevant during the Lenten season. After the table conversations we gather in a circle for prayer, scripture, and quiet worship, concluding at 7 p.m.
